She dedicates her time to increase the knowledge in the room, so that teachers gain new skills, students are blessed with new opportunities, and families are strengthened. What topics can she teach?
Kim is competent and qualified to teach all topics of Educational Technology, Teacher PD, Program Development and Curriculum Design. Kim has taught creative topics like Dance, Choreography, Theatre, Stage Combat, Photography, Film, Writing, STEAM, Life Skills and 3D Printing. Music Creation on the iPad, all things Apple (including systems setup and management to iOS and OSX Apps/Software usage), along with using Swift Playgrounds to teach basic Coding to JK – 3rd grade have been staples in Kim’s repertoire. She has taught CEO Challenge (where each student designed and pitched their business to a panel of real CEOs from the community) and Genius Desk where the students were an independent student run IT team who also developed Weekly STEAM Challenges for the elementary students. Kim is passionate about using Accessibility features to help students who need support. She wrote a book to help teachers, families, and students use their iOS and OSX devices to help Print Disabilities…Be Gone! Most recently, Kim has been focused on writing ebooks and using all of her skills to create immersive stories, that engage young readers and encourage them to fall in love with reading.
